Connect Groups

small groups

Connect Groups consist of a small group (typically 6–12)  who meet regularly in church members' homes or in the churches. Some are purely social groups to meet other like-minded people, while others exist to share pray, discuss the bible and develop great friendships. They are the heart of church life and open to everyone.

Currently we have the following Connect Groups

Weekly

  • Women's Fellowship - Tuesdays 2.15-3.45pm at St Mark's Church. A group for all women in the parish. We have speakers on alternate weeks with various activities such as bible studies, quizzes, bible bring and buy, lunch at Wyevale, cream teas and a termly Holy Communion
  • Wednesday Morning Connect - Wednesdays 9.15-10.30am at St Mark's Church. We aim to encourage and equip each other to live as God's people in our everyday lives. We learn from the Bible and from each other, as we explore topical issues, Bible passages or the challenges of faith. We support each other through listening, friendship and prayer. We also enjoy occasional social activities. Pre-school children are very welcome!
Fortnightly
  • Connect Men's Group - Mondays 8pm at a home in Westfield. We aim to support each other as men through exploring our faith and building strong friendships as well as having regular social activities.
  • Monday Evening Connect - Mondays 8pm at a home in Old Woking. We are a group for all ages with emphasis on Bible Study, Prayer and Fellowship.
  • Click Connect Christ - Tuesdays 7.45pm at a home in Westfield/Sutton Green. We meet for friendship, sometimes for a purely social evening, but usually for a chat, coffee and then informal discussion on bible passages or issues relating to faith. We aim to support and encourage one another in our Christian lives whether on a day to day basis or sometimes on a wider front.
  • Connect 3 - Wednesdays 7.45pm at a home in Westfield. We meet for Interesting Bible study, with discussion of its application to our daily lives, our Frontlines and topical issues; Fellowship, sharing and support, including
prayer for each other, for our parish and our Frontlines.
  • Connect 66 - Thursdays 7.45pm at a home in Westfield. We are here for all who want to get to grips with the basics of living as a Christian in a practical, down to earth way. It is particularly suitable for those who have recently been on an Alpha course or new to faith, but open to all who want to know the Holy Spirit at work in their daily lives. We have fun, friendship and food and support one another prayerfully and practically in our lives.
Monthly
  • Connect Craft and Chat - 2nd Wednesday of the month 2-4pm at St Peter's Church Centre. This is a group for all who enjoy craft, whether knitting, crochet, card making or lace, but other crafts are welcome. We do our crafts whilst having a chat about anything topical and having tea, coffee and biscuits. You are welcome to join us even just to chat and watch others doing their craft. We often share tips to help each other
  • Cameo Connect - 4th Wednesday of the month 2-4pm at St Peter's Church Centre. Cameo is for all who live in the parish, whether members of the church or not. We chat over tea and coffee and often have activities such as outings, guest speakers, table-top games (e.g. a beetle drive), quizzes and show selected DVDs. We occasionally have short bible-based reflections, particularly at Christmas and Easter.

All you have to do to find out more or join one is contact us! We can put you in touch with the small group leader who will be more than happy to invite you along to their group. Go along and try it out!
