Church Life during Coronavirus
Although there are now no Sunday services in church or weekday groups running, as a Parish we will continue to worship God, pray, grow in faith together and to serve our community in any way that we can. Here are some of the things that we are doing to support you during this time:
We will be sharing a Sunday morning service each week through YouTube.
Join us at 8pm every Sunday via Zoom for a short reflective service to end the week.
Weekly Video Log
Each week on a Thursday one of the Ministry Team will post a vlog here with a reflection during this time of the Coronavirus outbreak. Click here to view.
Weekday morning prayer will continue and be extended to Monday to Saturday at 9am with one member of the ministry team leading it in one of the churches and a facility for others to join in remotely using Zoom. If you would like to be part of it, whether regularly, or occasionally, please email Sam (email@example.com) who will send you instructions on how to participate.
We are also encouraging everyone to pray where they are at 6pm, knowing that others in the parish are praying at the same time.
Space for Prayer
Our churches were open for prayer, but with the Prime Minister's announcement on 23 March, they unfortunately will now be closed.
Shop & Drop
Our team of volunteers are here to help you with shopping, urgent supplies, posting mail and more. Contact us by emailing: firstname.lastname@example.org or phone number to follow.
Whilst our pastoral team is unable to provide home visits at the moment, we would love to support you over the phone. Please email our Pastoral Assistant Brenda Cox or call her on 01483 770997 .
Coronavirus Support Fund
We recognise that a number of people will face financial difficulties at this time so we have launched this fund. You can give to this fund or if you know of someone who would appreciate support contact us.
Church in a Bag - Cancelled
Currently we are unable to provide Church in a Bag due to government restrictions, we will revisit this when restrictions are relaxed.
Craft Bags - Cancelled
Currently we are unable to provide Craft Bags due to government restrictions, we will revisit this when restrictions are relaxed.
Cards for those in need
This is a way for children and families to get involved with helping those in need. Why not spend some time making cards, and drawing pictures for those who are ill or who are self-isolating alone? Please email email@example.com if you can help with this, then we will distribute them.
Notes and News, our weekly news sheet, will continue to be produced each week with details of our livestreamed services, prayers, reflections, news and contact details. It will be emailed or delivered to all regular worshippers. If you want to receive it regularly please contact us.
Every person who is a regular worshipper in our churches has a link person who will keep in touch with them by phone or email during this period. If you have not been contacted and would like to be please let us know.
We will be using our Facebook and Instagram channels to keep you updated with what is going on as well as sharing helpful resources and advice. Do come and find us, follow us, then share any posts that you find helpful in order to help more people access this support. We have Facebook pages for: St Mark's Church, St Peter's Church, and All Souls' Church; and a Parish-wide Instagram.
